Book a Skydive
This is an opportunity to complete a solo parachute jump and put yourself in control of the skydive. You will have one day of training for the jump. You will make a solo parachute jump from 3,500 feet on the next jumping day. Your parachute will deploy (open) automatically as soon as you leave the aircraft and you will navigate yourself back to the dropzone for landing.
Please be aware that there are more restrictions than tandem skydives, for example maximum age 54, height/weight restriction but it is more fun!

Why jump for us?
Please jump for ACLT because without more potential donors from the Black, Mixed Race and Asian communities joining the bone marrow, blood and organ registers; even MORE people from these communities will continue to die needlessly.
ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust) raises awareness about leukaemia and related blood cancers and disorders and encourages individuals to become potential lifesavers by joining the bone marrow, blood and organ donor registers. The charity supports patients and families by offering practical and emotional assistance, organising patient donor appeals and actively registering potential lifesaving donors.
Co-founded in 1996 by Beverley De-Gale and Orin Lewis, parents of former leukaemia patient Daniel De-Gale, for 18 years the ACLT has been raising awareness about bone marrow donation and has helped grow the BME bone marrow register from 550 to approximately 50,000 and saved over 50 lives.
Bone marrow matching is race specific. The charity registers all ethnicities and is particularly focussed on finding lifesavers from Black, Asian, Mixed Race and other minority ethnic communities in the UK as they are severely under-represented on all UK donor registers. Of the 800,000 potential donors on the UK bone marrow registers less than 1% is from Black, Asian, Mixed Race and other minority ethnic communities. The odds for BME patients finding a bone marrow donor are still 1 in 100,000 compared to 1 in 4 for White Northern European patients.
In 2014 ACLT aims to register 5500 people on to the UK bone marrow, blood and organ donor registers (4777 were recruited in 2013).
ACLT relies on the generosity of the general public to fund projects designed to Give Hope and Save Lives by motivating many more people to join the bone marrow, blood and organ donor registers. They simply need more funding.
